Dr. Salomon is a Clinical Instructor of Surgery at the Yale University School of Medicine in the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Division and on staff at Yale-New Haven Hospital, where he serves as faculty for the Yale Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency training program. There he oversees and teaches residents in both clinical and didactic settings.
Additionally, Dr. Salomon is the director of resident research, supervises the department Journal Club, serves on both the Resident Admissions and Clinical Competency Committees, and is the department representative for the hospital’s Peri-operative Patient Safety and Quality Committee. Dr. Salomon was awarded the Yale Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Bernard Levine Attending of the Year Award in 2023 and 2024.
Dr. Salomon has brought multiple expanded maxillofacial treatment options to southern Connecticut, including trigeminal nerve repair, facial bone reconstruction utilizing in-situ tissue engineering technology, and was the first surgeon to perform zygomatic implants in the Yale Health system.
Dr. Salomon has been involved in various research projects, presented at both local and national meetings, as well as authored and reviewed several peer-reviewed publications and textbook chapters.
Dr. Salomon was recognized as a “Top Doctor in Connecticut” in 2024 and “Top Dentist in Connecticut” by Connecticut Magazine for the past 6 consecutive years (2019 – 2024).
