Dr. Saggese practices full-scope Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery including removal of impacted teeth, dental implants, bone grafting, adult and pediatric general anesthesia, maxillofacial trauma, oral pathology, infection management, TMJ disorders, and orthognathic surgery.

In addition to private practice, Dr. Saggese has a special interest in writing journal articles aimed to increase patient safety. He has published several articles in flagship journals on various topics including COVID-19, anesthesia, opioids, orthognathic surgery, infections, and maxillofacial trauma. Dr. Saggese also has a special interest in modern technology including intraoperative navigation, virtual surgical planning and 3D printed dental implant guides. Additionally, Dr. Saggese has been a peer reviewer for The Lancet medical journal where he evaluated research work on the topic of orbital trauma. He also interviews applicants applying to the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine.
