Dr. Anderson is originally from Albany, NY, and completed her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, followed by her medical degree (MD) at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. She completed her Certificate in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, where she trained in a broad range of surgical procedures.

Dr. Anderson has previously served as an Assistant Professor and Program Director for the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency training program at the University of Pittsburgh, where she taught predoctoral and graduate students. Her academic work has led her to lecture on topics including maxillofacial bone grafting for dental implants, orthognathic surgery, maxillofacial trauma, ambulatory anesthesia, and the management of medically complex patients. She has been actively involved in research and has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and textbook chapters.

Dr. Anderson’s professional interests include orthognathic surgery, sleep apnea surgery, maxillofacial trauma care, and the surgical treatment of temporomandibular joint disorders.
