Prior to joining the team at Coastal Connecticut Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Dr. Anderson worked as a full-time Assistant Professor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, where she served as Program Director for the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency training program. She served as a full-time faculty member at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Presbyterian, Shadyside, Mercy and Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Anderson has experience teaching predoctoral and graduate students. She has lectured on topics including medical history and physical exam, maxillofacial bone grafting for dental implants, orthognathic and sleep apnea surgery, maxillofacial trauma, head and neck infections, ambulatory anesthesia, and the surgical management of medically complex patients.
Dr. Anderson has been involved in various research projects, presented at both local and national meetings, as well as authored and reviewed several peer-reviewed publications and textbook chapters.
In her spare time, Dr. Anderson enjoys cooking with her husband and daughter and exploring the Connecticut shoreline.
